UNBELIEVABLE MEDICAL CONDITIONS

10 People with Unbelievable Medical Conditions

1.The Woman Who has 200 Orgasms every day

UK's Sarah Carmen, 24, is a 200-a-day orgasm girl who gets good, good, GOOD vibrations from almost anything. She suffers from Permanent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PSAS), which increases blood flow to the sex organs. "Sometimes I have so much sex to try to calm myself down I get bored of it. And men I sleep with don't seem to make as much effort because I climax so easily."
She believes her condition was brought on by the pills. "Within a few weeks I just began to get more and more aroused more and more of the time and I just kept having endless orgasms. It started off in bed where sex sessions would last for hours and my boyfriend would be stunned at how many times I would orgasm. Then it would happen after sex. I'd be thinking about what we'd done in bed and I'd start feeling a bit flushed, then I'd become aroused and climax. In six months I was having 150 orgasms a day—and it has been as many as 200."She and her boyfriend split— and new partners struggle to keep up with her sex demands. "Often, I'll want to wear myself out by having as many orgasms as I can so they stop and I can get some peace," she said.

They took clock shifts watching his every sleep-deprived mood to determine what ailed the young boy. After a number of conflicting opinions, Shannon and David Lamb finally learned what was wrong with their child: Doctors diagnosed Rhett with an extremely rare condition called chiari malformation."The brain literally is squeezed into the spinal column. She usually also recalls what day of the week it was and what the weather was like. The 40-year-old woman, who was given the code name AJ to protect her privacy, is so unusual that UCI coined a name for her condition in a recent issue of the journal Neurocase: hyperthymestic syndrome.

"If the acid levels are severe enough they are going to do keyhole surgery and grab part of my stomach and wrap it around the valve to tighten it," he said.Mr Sands, who is a backing singer in the group Ebullient, said the condition has hampered his career as he has only been able to perform four times. HEALTHY LIFE STYLE

Little things do mean a lot. Check out our list of easy tips.

Ready to drop some weight?

The good news is small changes are easy to work into your routine and can add up to make a big difference.
Think baby steps, like swapping milk in your morning coffee for skim milk. There are lots of little changes you can make — in your diet and your daily routine — that will add up to healthy weight loss over the long haul. Take a look at our 20 tips below and take one on board each week.

Eating tips
Good things come in small packages.
Cut high-kilojoule foods, such as hard cheese and chocolate into smaller pieces. It will seem like you’re getting more than you actually are.
Don’t give up dips.
If you love creamy dips and sauces, don’t cut them out of your diet completely. Just use low-fat sour cream or low-fat mayo instead of full fat.
Get water-wise.
Make a habit of reaching for a glass of water instead of coffee or soft drink. It will help your overall health as well as your waistline. Add some zest with a twist of lemon or lime.
Herb it up.
Stock up your spice rack and start growing a small herb garden in your kitchen window. Spices and herbs add fantastic flavour to foods without adding fat or kilojoules.
Doggie-bag that dinner.
At restaurants, ask the waiter to put half your meal in a doggie bag before bringing it to your table. Putting the food away before you start your meal will help you practise portion control.
Ease your way into produce.
If you’re new to eating lots of fruits and vegies, start slowly. Just add them to the foods you already enjoy. Chop up fruit and add it to your cereal, or add a few vegies to your favourite pasta dish.
Don’t multitask while you eat.
If you’re working, reading or watching TV while you eat, you won’t be paying attention to what’s going into your mouth. Every time you sit down for a meal, actually sit down, chew slowly and pay attention to flavours and textures. You’ll enjoy your food more and eat less.
Taste something new.
Broaden your food repertoire — you may find you like more healthy foods than you knew. Try a new fruit or vegetable (ever had bok choy, dragonfruit or papaya?).
Get to know your portion sizes.
It’s easy to underestimate how much you’re eating. Don’t just estimate things — make sure. Ask how much is in a serving, read the fine print on labels, measure your food. And learn portion equivalents: one serving of pasta, for instance, should be around the size of a tennis ball.
Bring lunch to work.
Packing lunch will help you control your portion sizes. It also provides a good alternative to restaurants and fast-food options, where making healthy choices every day can be challenging (not to mention expensive).
Have some dessert.
You don’t have to deny yourself all the time. Have a treat that brings you pleasure, but this time enjoy it guilt-free. Make sure you’re practicing portion control, and compensate for your indulgence by exercising a little more or by skipping your afternoon snack.
Ask for what you need.
Tell your mother-in-law you don’t want seconds.
Ask your partner to stop bringing you chocolates.
Speak up when your co-workers are picking a restaurant for lunch. Whatever you need to do to succeed at weight loss, ask for it. Make yourself a priority and assert yourself.
.
Fitness tips
Improve your treadmill technique.
When walking on a treadmill, don’t grip the rails. It’s fine to touch them for balance, but you shouldn’t have to hold on. If you do, that might be a signal you should lower the intensity level.
Make the most of your walks.
If your walking routine has become too easy, increase your effort by finding hills. Just be sure to tackle them at the beginning of your walk, when you have energy to spare.
Shop ’til you drop.
Add a workout to your shopping sessions by parking your car as far from the store as possible, so you’ll have to walk further. And try walking up the escalator — getting to your destination faster will be an added bonus.
Walk an extra 100 steps at work.
Adding even a little extra exercise to your daily routine can boost your weight loss. Today, take the stairs instead of the elevator, or stroll down the hall to talk to a co-worker instead of sending an e-mail or calling.

Lifestyle tips
Brush your teeth after every meal and snack.
This will be a signal to your mouth — and your mind — that it’s time to stop eating. Brushing will also give your mouth a nice fresh taste that you’ll be disinclined to ruin with a random potato chip.
Clean your closet!
First, it’s great exercise. Second, it’s an important step in changing your attitude. Get rid of all the clothes that make you look or feel bad. Throw out anything that’s too big — don’t give yourself the option of ever fitting into those clothes again. Move the smaller clothes up to the front to help motivate you.
Walkie talkies.
Instead of meeting your friend for the regular coffee and banana bread catch-up, meet at the beach or a local park and go for a walk together. You’ll be surprised how much further you can walk when you’re not thinking about it.
Take your measurements.
You might not like your stats now, but you’ll be glad you wrote them down when you see how many centimetres you lose. It’s also another way to measure your success, instead of just looking at the scale. Sometimes even when the numbers on the scale aren’t going down, the measurements on your body are.

What would Valentine’s Day be without an opportunity to mention the three-letter word that gets everyone so riled up? Yes, you guessed it–I’m talking about at a little S-E-X. So, let’s chat, shall we? Beyond being just one-heck-of-good-time, medical studies report that an active sex life contributes to a longer and more fulfilling life. So come on, everybody’s doing it (or at least the lucky ones), and here are five reasons for you to join in:

1. Sex boosts your immune system.
“Honey, I have a headache,” may now be the best reason to have sex! A startling number of physicians are now recognizing how sexual and emotional health affect our entire well being. In other words, how our brain directly impacts our immune system. “We know that people who enjoy a regular, satisfying sex life (i.e. regular orgasms) are less stressed, less depressed and generally more well physically, mentally and emotionally,” says Wendy Strgar, loveologist and CEO of Good Clean Love. In a recent article, Dr. Paul Pearsall, director of Behavioral Medicine at Detroit’s Beaumont Hospital, concludes that many of his patients had experienced sexual dissatisfaction prior to a heart attack. He also claims that sexual contentment leads to less severe headaches and reduced discomfort from arthritis in both genders.

2. Sex burns calories.
Oh yeah, forget those fad diets and get busy gettin’ busy. A mere 30-minutes of sex burns 90 calories and while that may not sound impressive, at an average of three times a week, you’re burning 5 pounds in a year! Or, according to Forbes magazine, having sex just twice a week for a year will burn off the equivalent of seven huge spaghetti dinners. Seconds, anyone?

3. Sex relieves pain.
Orgasm is one serious narcotic! Oxytocin, a naturally occurring chemical in the body surges during and after climax while working in conjunction with a few other endorphins to make sure you feel no pain. In his book, How to Treat Arthritis, rheumatologist Carter V. Multz asserts that sex can reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with arthritis, headaches and menstrual cramps.

4. Sex decreases aging.
“Use it or lose it” has never been more applicable. Regular sex releases a plethora of “happy” chemicals into your bloodstream, including testosterone. As we age, our testosterone levels decrease. Sex is a wonderful way to build your reserves back up, helping build new bones and muscles while putting a youthful glow on your face. According to a study by Dr. David Weeks, a clinical neuropsychologist at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Scotland and co-author of Superyoung, men and women who reported having sex an average of four times per week looked approximately 10 years younger than they really were.

5. Sex is great for depression.
“The release from orgasm does much to calm people. It helps with sleep, and that is whether we talk about solo sex or sex with a partner,” says Jennifer Bass, the head of information services at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction in Bloomington, Ind., in a recent MSNBC article. Researchers believe that sex helps the brain produce serotonin which, in turn, prompts new neurons to grow. Most chemical, antidepressant medications, like Zoloft, work to increase serotonin levels. These drugs take three to four weeks to begin working–about the same amount of time required for new neurons to form. One reason these drugs could be an effective treatment is because they increase cell growth–just as sex does.

STROKE CARE/PREVENTION

HEART STROKE

My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. Seriously.. Please read: -

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:-
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm, Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don’t die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this…
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the “3″ steps, STR . Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK . to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE(Coherently) (i.e. . . It is sunny out today)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

(NOTE: Another ’sign’ of a stroke is this: Ask the person to ’stick’ out their tongue… if the tongue is ‘crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke).
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher

IF YOU HAVE SORE THROAT HOW TO CURE IT?

A ' sore throat ' is an infection that could be in the form of bacterial or viral.
Both these sore throats have different reasons. Amongst the two the viral is the serious form of sore throat infection. Antibiotis respond well to the bacterial sore throat infections but not with the viral sore throats. That is why the most popular sore throat cure is the natural cure.

Many sore throats can be cured with natural remedies. Tincture capsicum has been used to alleviate a sore throat and increase vocal range when congested.
Other sore throat cures include chamomile tea drinking this tea every few hour’s gives good relief. Gargling with not just warm salt water but also water in which cayenne pepper has been added is said to be helpful. Other natural things like mustard, Slippery Elm bark (Ulmus rubra), Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis) - this contains mucilage which helps soothe a sore throat. Honey suckle flower is used in Chinese medicines and is a good sore throat healer.

Often times a sore throat is one of the first symptoms of our body’s fight against the common cold or flu which maybe due to the change of temperature, exposure to cold, or just by drinking some beverage that is extremely cold.

Children may have a headache and stomach pain. Canker sores and fever blisters in the throat also can be very painful. A sore throat can also be caused by bacteria. The two most common bacteria Streptococcus (which causes strep throat) and Arcanobacterium haemolyticum. Arcanobacterium causes sore throats mainly in young adults and is sometimes associated with a fine red rash. About 10 to 15 percent of sore throats are caused by bacterial infections, either streptococcus (strep throat) or staphylococcus bacteria.

Of the two types of sore throat, chronic is more intense and they occur for a longer period as compared to the acute sore throat which last for about 3-4 days. The bacterial and viral infections are generally categorized under the chronic sore throat. However, be it acute or chronic, the symptoms of sore throat are almost similar. The only difference is, in a chronic sore throat it needs immediate attention if it is due to bacterial infections as it can be deadly.

Drink plenty of water. It may feel difficulty drinking water while you have sore throat. Drink water warm to avoid the difficulty drinking water.

It is a good idea to go to your doctor whenever you have a sore throat. You need to determine the cause so as to rule out those that are serious. In the event that your sore throat is deemed to be a common cold or flu variety, here’s some home remedies that you might find useful.

You may also gargle with salt water.
It your doctor prescribes antibiotics for a bacterial throat infection, eat yogurt, such as Nancy’s yogurt or Kefir from the health food store. The commercial yogurt in your grocery store does not have enough of the friendly bacteria in it to replace the one’s killed by the antibiotics. The antibiotic kills the good and bad bacteria. The the bad bacteria will cause an over growth and you will be open to other infections. You need the good bacteria to keep the bad bacteria under control.
