Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.<br /><br />2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person ' s lifetime.<br /><br />3. When the person ' s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.<br /></div></span><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 239px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490086453735872626" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJhKHyNnyWjXzI24lK0UDRtITDrc4n5PK7oazRTEYYuZl6nNTcQJ5Qx-K2TulkXCXhScZfUQEc9BA0uMj8FktMvTtvSeqnitzrmlTeIuL14OFAZzn_zTWE2DadtmZpWxwNbfZcoIONlmk/s320/image002.jpg" /></span></div><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;">4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.<br /><br />5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.<br /><br />6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc., and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.<br /><br />7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.<br /><br />8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.<br /><br />9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.<br /><br />10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.<br /><br />11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.<br /><br />WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:<br /><br />a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg ' s aminos or sea salt.<br /><br />b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.<br /><br />c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.<br /><br />d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.<br /><br />To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).<br /><br />e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.<br /><br /><br />12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.<br /></div></span><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 315px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490085686154825314" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyBQe8DNnT6osWm8QLrcbS1LBPeeu14SK2jGRHK26hRFla9qw9EvcHAJFKaSghfSgUZX-RoRStdfWFJq3OyciUSFSDYOrcth2ax7hk0BMsJVYz-KrDdoch1y84htb6hKd91P97MymoF5M/s320/image003.jpg" /><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body ' s killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.<br /><br />14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body ' s own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body ' s normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.<br /><br />15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.<br /><br />Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.<br /><br />16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.</span>Dr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-21202680018924340142010-03-08T09:18:00.001-08:002010-03-08T09:24:24.387-08:00Kind of synthesis in which love and medicine together are used to help people....OSHO<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2jqSzzF17MwT0FCrc-pBXOI5Z7k-5i6zUhK-nYnlcCpVLtYkVqOCfsV9VTeqEVsHnvGWrlXIY4l1Yfmt6avLMz7aewAT_ueVdKomNVsMU1Qk0nC1UNpi6z2e3mPMoKDhj4IcLUqt3TGU/s1600-h/akash.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 437px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 416px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5446313790072231954" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2jqSzzF17MwT0FCrc-pBXOI5Z7k-5i6zUhK-nYnlcCpVLtYkVqOCfsV9VTeqEVsHnvGWrlXIY4l1Yfmt6avLMz7aewAT_ueVdKomNVsMU1Qk0nC1UNpi6z2e3mPMoKDhj4IcLUqt3TGU/s320/akash.jpg" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#33cc00;"><strong>Man is not an object.</strong><br /></span><br /><em><span style="color:#ff0000;">'Man is a subjective being. That's why there are so many medical schools -- ayurveda, homeopathy, naturopathy, acupuncture, and many more -- and they all help.<br /><br />Now homeopathy is simply sugar pills, but it helps.<br /><br />The question is whether the person believes.<br /><br />There are people who are fanatic naturopaths -- nothing else can help them, only naturopathy can help them. And it has no connection with the disease.<br /><br />Man is not an object.<br /><br />Man is a subjective being. If the patient loves the doctor, then water can function as medicine. And if the patient hates the doctor, then no medicine can help. If the patient feels the doctor is indifferent -- which is ordinarily the case with doctors, because they are also human beings, the whole day long seeing patients, the whole day long somebody is dying... they slowly slowly become hard, they create a barrier to their emotions, sentiments, humanity. But this prevents their medicine from being effective.<br /><br />It is given almost in a robot-like way, as if a machine is giving you medicine.<br />With love, the patient is not only getting medicine; around the medicine something invisible is also coming to him.<br /><br />Medicine will have to understand man's subjectivity, his love, and will have to create some kind of synthesis in which love and medicine together are used to help people.<br />But one thing is absolutely certain: that medicine can never become entirely objective.<br /><br />That has been the effort of medical science up to now, to make it absolutely objective.<br /><br /></span>OSHO </div><div></div><div><span style="color:#ff6666;"></span></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;color:#ff6666;">Thanks to my friend:-Osho Aakash Krishna</span></div>Dr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-24090963169522104352010-03-03T07:46:00.000-08:002010-03-03T07:50:50.702-08:00Extracts of bitter melon 'can block breast cancer'<div align="justify"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIBVpiyybq9a5rKxkS3hyphenhyphenmKRjQRAJ9Y2FSQdhOTD7rVnkP2K6JZYHXyErWBLtnjqiIaOeFSkKZQE58Rfq8VPcUdso0hXe942cnd1FG7OeFfoudWNgP-QiGLpUG2S9TdtU98BaC8VtaHEE/s1600-h/bittermelon.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 364px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 299px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444434816966625810" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIBVpiyybq9a5rKxkS3hyphenhyphenmKRjQRAJ9Y2FSQdhOTD7rVnkP2K6JZYHXyErWBLtnjqiIaOeFSkKZQE58Rfq8VPcUdso0hXe942cnd1FG7OeFfoudWNgP-QiGLpUG2S9TdtU98BaC8VtaHEE/s320/bittermelon.jpg" /></a><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">Extracts of a fruit grown on tropical vines appears to have breast cancer blocking powers, say researchers.<br /><br />Scientists found key ingredients of the green and knobbly bitter melon fruit interfered with chemical pathways involved in cancer growth.<br /><br />It turned off signals telling the breast cancer cells to divide and switched on signals encouraging them to commit suicide.<br /><br />Experts told Cancer Research journal more trials were needed.<br /><br />Read More<br />>> http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8530730.stm<br /></span></div>Dr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-21348928922290987922010-01-29T09:52:00.000-08:002010-01-29T09:56:49.412-08:00PERSONAL PERCEPTION<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6MEf7IUrCZ3AfrGARIG0RfFOyM1-DxyAKba5H51JEQeC1-oqEqes0p4dieUvR1Vg9HrSPwFRWboVPQyJh3mmlcpimvmbryDSpnJOmMOlP4VkG56-FG4cnhNlVHUwjOYBdNVBHC0RwbH4/s1600-h/CHILD.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 410px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 304px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432221409553342802" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6MEf7IUrCZ3AfrGARIG0RfFOyM1-DxyAKba5H51JEQeC1-oqEqes0p4dieUvR1Vg9HrSPwFRWboVPQyJh3mmlcpimvmbryDSpnJOmMOlP4VkG56-FG4cnhNlVHUwjOYBdNVBHC0RwbH4/s320/CHILD.jpg" /></a><br /><div></div><br /><strong><span style="color:#333300;">Different people have different perception.</span></strong><br /><br /><span style="color:#6600cc;">'One man's meat could be another man's poison.'</span><br /><br /><div align="justify"> A couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way home, a boy commented, "Very stupid. Why neither of them ride on the donkey?“ Upon hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the donkey. He walked besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, "The husband is the head of the family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband is on foot?" Hearing this, the wife quickly got down and let the husband ride on the donkey. Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can the man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman." The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then, they met a young man. He commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up the weight of two persons. They are cruel to you." Hearing that, the husband and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on their shoulders. It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkey was frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the river. You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone condemn you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the future. Is not technique but prayer. Is not head-oriented but a relaxation into the heart. Please remember it. Many books have been written on Tantra, they all talk about technique. But the real Tantra has nothing to do with technique. The real Tantra cannot be written about, the real Tantra has to be imbibed. How to imbibe real Tantra? You will have to transform your whole approach.</span></div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><span style="font-size:130%;color:#6600cc;"></span> </div><div align="justify"><span style="font-size:130%;color:#6600cc;">Pray with your woman, sing with your woman, play with your woman, dance with your woman, with no idea of sex. Don't go on thinking 'When are we going to bed?' Forget about it. Do something else, and get lost into it. And some day love will arise out of that being lost. Suddenly you will see that you are making love and you are not making it. You were dancing or you were singing together or you were chanting together or you were praying together or meditating together, and suddenly you find you both have moved into a new space. And when you have started making love you don't know, you don't remember either. Then you are being possessed by Tantra energy. And the mind will say 'Jump in and keep control, otherwise you will be lost in the abyss of it.' Don't listen to the mind, get lost. Abandon yourself utterly. And without any technique you will come to see a timeless experience. There will be no two in it: oneness. A consciousness will be there, a lucid passive consciousness will be there, you will know what is happening, because you will be fully aware.. But you will not be there. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>Is there any confirmation of transmission between pigs and humans at this point?</strong></div><div align="justify"><strong>No.<br />How soon can someone with the flu infect someone else?</strong><br />Infected people may be able to infect others beginning one day before symptoms develop and up to seven or more days after becoming sick. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>What surfaces are most likely to be sources of contamination?</strong><br />Germs can be spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth. Droplets from a cough or sneeze of an infected person move through the air. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>How long can viruses live outside the body?</strong><br />We know that some viruses and bacteria can live two hours or longer on surfaces like cafeteria tables, doorknobs, and desks. Frequent hand washing will help you reduce the chance of getting contamination from these common surfaces. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>What can I do to protect myself from getting sick?<br /></strong>Currently available seasonal influenza vaccine does not protect against H1N1 flu. Alcohol based hand cleaners are also effective.<br />· Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. For treatment, antiviral drugs work best if started soon after getting sick (within 2 days of symptoms). The drug is to be administered under supervision of clinicians. </span></div><span style="font-size:130%;"><div align="justify"><br /><strong>What should I do if I get sick?</strong><br />If you live in areas where influenza A H1N1 cases have been identified and become ill with influenza like symptoms e.g. fever, body aches, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, or vomiting or diarrhea, you may contact their health care provider, particularly if you are worried about your symptoms.<br />Your health care provider will determine whether influenza testing or treatment is needed.<br />If you are sick, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people as much as possible to keep from spreading your illness to others. However, Swine Flu is certainly one of those diseased where an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Here are ten tips for you to keep away from the pandemic.</span></div><br /><div align="justify"><span style="font-size:130%;"><br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">1. Wash your hands frequently</span></strong><br />Use the antibacterial soaps to cleanse your hands. Wash them often, at least 15 seconds and rinse with running water.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">2. Get enough sleep</span></strong><br />Try to get 8 hours of good sleep every night to keep your immune system in top flu-fighting shape.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">3. Drink sufficient water<br /></span></strong>Drink 8 to10 glasses of water each day to flush toxins from your system and maintain good moisture and mucous production in your sinuses.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">4. Boost your immune system</span></strong><br />Keeping your body strong, nourished, and ready to fight infection is important in flu prevention. So stick with whole grains, colorful vegetables, and vitamin-rich fruits.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">5. Keep informed</span></strong><br />The government is taking necessary steps to prevent the pandemic and periodically release guidelines to keep the pandemic away. Please make sure to keep up to date on the information and act in a calm manner.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">6. Avoid alcohol</span></strong><br />Apart from being a mood depressant, alcohol is an immune suppressant that can actually decrease your resistance to viral infections like swine flu. So stay away from alcoholic drinks so that your immune system may be strong.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">7. Be physically active</span></strong><br />Moderate exercise can support the immune system by increasing circulation and oxygenating the body. For example brisk walking for 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week will significantly perk up your immunity.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">8. Keep away from sick people</span></strong><br />Flu virus spreads when particles dispersed into the air through a cough or sneeze reach someone else’s nose. So if you have to be around someone who is sick, try to stay a few feet away from them and especially, avoid physical contact.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">9. Know when to get help</span></strong><br />Consult your doctor if you have a cough and fever and follow their instructions, including taking medicine as prescribed.<br /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">10. Avoid crowded areas</span></strong></span></div><span style="font-size:130%;"><div align="justify"><strong>Try to avoid unnecessary trips outside.</strong><br /></div><br /><div align="justify"><span style="color:#9999ff;">Source:-Yahoo News</span><br /></div></span>Dr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-89793639534851218722009-06-24T22:48:00.000-07:002009-06-24T22:52:50.546-07:00CANCER...<strong><span style="color:#6633ff;">Excellent article on cancer. Pass it on.</span></strong><br /><strong><span style="color:#000099;">AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY ANDELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THEREIS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY .</span></strong><br /><span style="color:#000099;"><div align="justify"><br /></span><strong>Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins:</strong><br /><br />1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells donot show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a fewbillion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no morecancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the testsare<br />unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached thedetectable size.<br />2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.<br />3.... When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells willbe destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.<br />4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiplenutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.<br />5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing dietand including supplements will strengthen the immune system.<br />6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cellsand also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow,gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.<br />7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars anddamages healthy cells, tissues and organs.<br />8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reducetumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not<br />result in more tumor destruction.<br />9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy andradiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hencethe person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.<br />10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate andbecome resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also causecancercells to spread to other sites.<br />11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells bynot feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.<br /><br /><strong><span style="color:#3366ff;">WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:</span></strong><br />a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off oneimportant food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like<br />NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it isharmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molassesbut only in very sma ll amounts. Table salt has a chemical added tomake it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or seasalt.</div><div align="justify"><br />b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in thegastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milkandsubstituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.</div><div align="justify"><br />c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet isacidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growthhormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to peoplewith cancer.</div><div align="justify"><br />d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.... About 20% can be from cooked food including beans.Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbedand reachdown to cellular levels within 15 minutes to no urish and enhancegrowth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthycells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including beansprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes aredestroyed attemperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).</div><div align="justify"><br />e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Greentea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxinsand heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.</div><div align="justify"><br />12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot ofdigestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomeputrified and leads to more toxic buildup.</div><div align="justify"><br />13... Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refrainingfrom or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the proteinwalls ofcancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.</div><div align="justify"><br />14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence,Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable thebody's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplementslike vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the<br />body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.</div><div align="justify"><br />15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive andpositive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidicenvironment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn torelaxand enjoy life.<br /></div><div align="justify">16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment.Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down tothe cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>(PLEASE FORWARD IT TO PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT)</strong><br /><br />This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in yourlife.I just did !<br />______________________</div>Dr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-79706777599949065692009-05-29T10:47:00.000-07:002009-05-29T10:51:56.910-07:00HUMAN SYSTEM - FEW FACTS<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOrA7N559xfOhS_TGP3htF0bLmDHAbVQfRqhYkutg9QJU7Aq2WvPfKMBC5tx-pHR2pac-yw2Kuzm0Q2zLTur5ysklG99tqcG0hn9ha0W3YDtpW6C8ROXtzsYVIRwYDPA1dFAmUqDRuceY/s1600-h/HEALTHY.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 269px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5341304662993692274" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOrA7N559xfOhS_TGP3htF0bLmDHAbVQfRqhYkutg9QJU7Aq2WvPfKMBC5tx-pHR2pac-yw2Kuzm0Q2zLTur5ysklG99tqcG0hn9ha0W3YDtpW6C8ROXtzsYVIRwYDPA1dFAmUqDRuceY/s400/HEALTHY.jpg" /></a><br /><div><strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#6600cc;">Amazing facts about Human body </span></strong></div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#6633ff;">The Skeletal System</span></strong><br />The largest bone is the pelvis, or hip bone. In fact it is made of six bones joined firmly together. The longest bone is the ‘femur’, in the thigh. It makes up almost one quarter of the body’s total height. The smallest bone is the ’stirrup’, deep in the ear. It is hardly larger than a grain of rice. The ears and end of the nose do not have bones inside them. Their inner supports are cartilage or ‘gristle’, which is lighter and more flexible than bone. This is why the nose and ears can be bent. After death, cartilage rots faster than bone. This is why the skulls of skeletons have no nose or ears. </div><div align="justify"><br /><span style="color:#6633ff;"><strong>The Muscular System</strong></span><br />There are about 60 muscles in the face. Smiling is easier than frowning. It takes 20 muscles to smile and over 40 to frown. The longest muscle in the body is the sartorius, from the outside of the hip, down and across to the inside of the knee. It rotates the thigh outwards and bends the knee. The smallest muscle in the body is the stapedius, deep in the ear. It is only 5mm long and thinner than cotton thread. It is involved in hearing. The biggest muscle in the body is the gluteus maximus, in the buttock. It pulls the leg backwards powerfully for walking, running and climbing steps. </div><div align="justify"><br /><span style="color:#6633ff;"><strong>The Circulatory System</strong></span><br />The heart beats around 3 billion times in the average person’s life.About 2 million blood cells die in the human body every second, and the same number are born each second.Within a tiny droplet of blood, there are some 5 million red blood cells, 300,000 platelets and 10,000 white cells. It takes about 1 minute for a red blood cell to circle the whole body.Red blood cells make approximately 250,000 round trips of the body before returning to the bone marrow, where they were born, to die.Red blood cells may live for about 4 months circulating throughout the body, feeding the 60 trillion other body cells. The brain looks like a giant, wrinkled walnut.Unlike other body cells, brain cells can not regenerate. Once brain cells are damaged they are not replaced. The brain and spinal cord are surrounded and protected by cerebrospinal fluid. </div><div align="justify"><br /><span style="color:#6633ff;"><strong>The Immune System</strong></span><br />The skin secretes antibacterial substances. These substances explain why you don’t wake up in the morning with a layer of mold growing on your skin - most bacteria and spores that land on the skin die quickly.Tears and mucus contain an enzyme (lysozyme) that breaks down the cell wall of many bacteria.Lymph nodes contain filtering tissue and a large number of lymph cells. When fighting certain bacterial infections, the lymph nodes swell with bacteria and the cells fighting the bacteria, to the point where you can actually feel them. Swollen lymph nodes may therefore be a good indication that you have an infection of some sort. </div><div align="justify"><br /><span style="color:#6633ff;"><strong>The Digestive System<br /></strong></span>Adults eat about 1,100 pounds of food per year.About 3 pints of saliva are produced each day.The esophagus is approximately 10 inches long.Muscles contract in waves to move the food down the esophagus. This means that food would get to a person’s stomach, even if they were standing on their head.An adult’s stomach can hold approximately 3 pints of material.Every day 3 gallons of digested food, liquids and digestive juices flow through the digestive system, but only about 3 ounces of fluid are lost in feces. In the mouth, food is either cooled or warmed to a more suitable temperature. We get two sets of teeth. Our 20 ‘Baby Teeth’ are replaced starting at around 6-7 years of age with our 32 ‘Adult Teeth’. </div><div align="justify"><br /><span style="color:#6633ff;"><strong>The Respiratory System</strong></span><br />At rest, the adult body takes in and breathes out about 1.6 gallons of air each minute. The right lung is slightly larger than the left.Hairs in the nose help to clean the air we breathe as well as warming it.The highest recorded “sneeze speed” is 102 miles per hour. The surface area of the lungs is roughly the same size as a tennis court. The capillaries in the lungs would extend 1,000 miles if placed end to end.We lose half a more than two cups of water a day through breathing. This is the water vapor we see when we breathe onto glass.A person at rest usually breathes between 12 and 15 times a minute. The breathing rate is faster in children and women than in men<br /><br /></div>Dr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-58280666455690070322009-05-09T20:46:00.000-07:002009-05-09T20:49:02.668-07:00Sound Healing with Tibetan Bowls and Chiron Gong<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/81Iuw1Cjp34&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/81Iuw1Cjp34&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><br /><br /><br />This is a short video made by Diane Mandle at the San Diego Cancer<br />Center, for all the oncologists, doctors, nurses and integrative therapy<br />team that worked with her on this project.<br />We pass it on to you, hoping it will be of help and inspiration.<br /><br />Source:http://innerhealers-english.blogspot.com/2009/04/sound-healing-with-tibetan-bowls-and.htmlDr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-74155434073725856132009-05-06T23:58:00.000-07:002009-05-07T00:31:52.072-07:00BEST FOOD ITEMS<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsBdbLi_2HkyYoZmCi2bAUPJyj06UE6rkolKsQ8Fx7zvzHeNp8kbsfMIlw1gskzqXjeJRZk8wix1F9vz9S7DKBeD4-H0Dh7xLzFg3NlF1MMvMZnM-z4pqO7K0X87jSml03Ev0fsY2fujU/s1600-h/blueberries.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 314px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332980954566540274" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsBdbLi_2HkyYoZmCi2bAUPJyj06UE6rkolKsQ8Fx7zvzHeNp8kbsfMIlw1gskzqXjeJRZk8wix1F9vz9S7DKBeD4-H0Dh7xLzFg3NlF1MMvMZnM-z4pqO7K0X87jSml03Ev0fsY2fujU/s400/blueberries.jpg" /></a><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht1N_tkXUsWrj01X975LK88reTBGRtBbTxXvy5rf1iiMh0mYXKXbT3GNuCkzTzMxE3uLI1AKJhyphenhyphen6Pc_OYFeUbxPZUxPDza0FaCAYrq8ME8c9T-Fg9xSDWOG6FDEEg0IXYk0OMFZh6BdUY/s1600-h/jackie_051.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332980763266536754" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht1N_tkXUsWrj01X975LK88reTBGRtBbTxXvy5rf1iiMh0mYXKXbT3GNuCkzTzMxE3uLI1AKJhyphenhyphen6Pc_OYFeUbxPZUxPDza0FaCAYrq8ME8c9T-Fg9xSDWOG6FDEEg0IXYk0OMFZh6BdUY/s400/jackie_051.jpg" /></a> <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#3366ff;">The 11 Best Foods You Aren’t Eating</span></strong><br /><strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#3366ff;"></span></strong><br /><br /><div><div align="justify"><span style="color:#666600;"><strong>Beets:</strong> Think of beets as red spinach, Dr. Bowden said, because they are a rich source of folate as well as natural red pigments that may be cancer fighters. How to eat: Fresh, raw and grated to make a salad. People do not normally get swine flu, but human infections can and do happen. Swine flu viruses have been reported to spread from person-to-person, but in the past, this transmission was limited and not sustained beyond three people.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Are there human infections with swine flu in the U.S.?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">In late March and early April 2009, cases of human infection with swine influenza A (H1N1) viruses were first reported in Southern California and near San Antonio, Texas. Other U.S. states have reported cases of swine flu infection in humans and cases have been reported internationally as well. An updated case count of confirmed swine flu infections in the United States is kept at <a target="_blank" href="http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/investigation.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/investigation.htm </a>CDC and local and state health agencies are working together to investigate this situation. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Is this swine flu virus contagious?</span></strong></div><div align="justify"> CDC has determined that this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is contagious and is spreading from human to human. However, at this time, it not known how easily the virus spreads between people.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu in people?</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in people. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">How does swine flu spread?</span></strong></div><div align="justify"> Spread of this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is thought to be happening in the same way that seasonal flu spreads. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">How can someone with the flu infect someone else?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">Infected people may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 7 or more days after becoming sick. That means that you may be able to pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What should I do to keep from getting the flu?</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">First and most important: wash your hands. Try to stay in good general health. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Try not touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Are there medicines to treat swine flu?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">Yes. CDC recommends the use of oseltamivir or zanamivir for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with these swine influenza viruses. Antiviral drugs are prescription medicines (pills, liquid or an inhaler) that fight against the flu by keeping flu viruses from reproducing in your body. If you get sick, antiviral drugs can make your illness milder and make you feel better faster. They may also prevent serious flu complications. For treatment, antiviral drugs work best if started soon after getting sick (within 2 days of symptoms).</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">How long can an infected person spread swine flu to others?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">People with swine influenza virus infection should be considered potentially contagious as long as they are symptomatic and possible for up to 7 days following illness onset. Children, especially younger children, might potentially be contagious for longer periods.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What surfaces are most likely to be sources of contamination?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">Germs can be spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth. Droplets from a cough or sneeze of an infected person move through the air. Germs can be spread when a person touches respiratory droplets from another person on a surface like a desk and then touches their own eyes, mouth or nose before washing their hands.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">How long can viruses live outside the body?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">We know that some viruses and bacteria can live 2 hours or longer on surfaces like cafeteria tables, doorknobs, and desks. Frequent handwashing will help you reduce the chance of getting contamination from these common surfaces.</div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What can I do to protect myself from getting sick?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">There is no vaccine available right now to protect against swine flu. There are everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza. Take these everyday steps to protect your health:</div><div align="justify"><br />· Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. </div><div align="justify">Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.<br />· Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. </div><div align="justify">Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.<br />· Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.<br />· Try to avoid close contact with sick people.<br />· If you get sick with influenza, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What is the best way to keep from spreading the virus through coughing or sneezing?</span></strong><br />If you are sick, limit your contact with other people as much as possible. Do not go to work or school if ill. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. It may prevent those around you from getting sick. Put your used tissue in the waste basket. Cover your cough or sneeze if you do not have a tissue. Then, clean your hands, and do so every time you cough or sneeze. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What is the best way to keep from spreading the virus through coughing or sneezing?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">If you are sick, limit your contact with other people as much as possible. Wash with soap and water. or clean with alcohol-based hand cleaner. we recommend that when you wash your hands -- with soap and warm water -- that you wash for 15 to 20 seconds. When soap and water are not available, alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers may be used. You can find them in most supermarkets and drugstores. If using gel, rub your hands until the gel is dry. The gel doesn't need water to work; the alcohol in it kills the germs on your hands. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What should I do if I get sick?</span></strong></div><div align="justify">If you live in areas where swine influenza cases have been identified and become ill with influenza-like symptoms, including fever, body aches, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, or vomiting or diarrhea, you may want to contact their health care provider, particularly if you are worried about your symptoms. This is why it's important to make sure that your eyes look their best when attending to your makeup and care routine. Following are some great beauty tips for your eyes, no matter who you are.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">1. Healthy eyes are beautiful eyes.</span></strong></div><div align="justify"> If your eyes are swollen, red, or other wise unhealthy, no amount of makeup is going to disguise this fact. If you wear contact lenses, make sure that you attend to all the care instructions for them. Also, protect your eyes by using cosmetics with sun screen included.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">2. When putting on eye makeup, make sure it goes with the rest of your look.</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">Too many women forget that while the eyes are important, they must be in harmony with the rest of the face. Choose eye makeup that goes with what you're wearing, and with the look you choose on the rest of your face. Don't let your features go to war with each other to be the most prominent – you'll have to choose whether you want the focus to be on your lips or eyes, for instance. Overdoing it can just look garish.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">3. Lay a good base.</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">A layer of foundation on your eyelids will help smooth out imperfections and help your eye shadow and liner look their best.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">4. Choose a color theme.</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">This doesn't meant that you have to use a monochrome scheme for your eye makeup, but it does mean that it's a good idea to keep an idea of color harmony in mind as you apply your makeup. The colors that will work best for you depend on your skin tone.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">5. Pay attention to your eye shape.</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">What works on one person won't necessarily look good on another. Figuring out what shape and set your eyes are can go a long way to helping you get the right look.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">6. Select quality cosmetics.</span></strong></div><div align="justify"> It really matters whether or not your makeup is high quality. Don't let your tools work against you just because you can get a cheaper brand. You'll never achieve the same looks you can with a better brand.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">7. Use specialized cleansers to remove your make up.</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">Soap and water are harsh and can irritate the eyes. Specially formulated eye cleansers are gentle, but made to remove old cosmetics.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">8. Use darker, more heavily made up looks at night.</span></strong></div><div align="justify"> Daytime requires a more natural look. Apply mascara on the tips of the lashes only, and save the liquid liner for evenings. Harsh makeup in daylight can look overdone or silly.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">9. Soften over-prominent eyes.</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">Just because the eyes are the first thing we pay attention to doesn't meant that they must be the focus of every look. If you feel that your eyes are too prominent, apply medium shadow and don't use high lights. This will make them appear deeper-set.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><strong><span style="color:#000000;">10. Keep up to date on the latest looks.</span></strong> </div><div align="justify">If you've been doing your eyes the same way for years, you can look dated without knowing it. Pay attention to what other people are wearing as well as the latest makeup styles, and form a look that's your own. </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify">source:- Rite mail</div>Dr.G.RAMANIhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14027575928508839615noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126644489993759801.post-88853455291306825072009-04-14T11:39:00.000-07:002009-04-14T11:42:38.330-07:00facts To know about Cigarrate and its Smoke<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFbJ5E-y8ZTdI63rUIig45sqI4e8Fu_ZkoTFNgxKwUq3yEbvpd-XzejGcK8iXae1p7iXJyC-w9AkqCdVrH3WKN3VuaJNHRNUyYT1gj7-yKsb8QS2SKmLl68BAArqPSekwF5DGjWD4UEPc/s1600-h/cigarette.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324618984147580498" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFbJ5E-y8ZTdI63rUIig45sqI4e8Fu_ZkoTFNgxKwUq3yEbvpd-XzejGcK8iXae1p7iXJyC-w9AkqCdVrH3WKN3VuaJNHRNUyYT1gj7-yKsb8QS2SKmLl68BAArqPSekwF5DGjWD4UEPc/s400/cigarette.jpg" /></a><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff6600;">1. - Second hand smoke contains 50 cancer causing chemicals. One of the best ways to keep your eyes healthy as you age is to include vision-friendly foods in your daily diet. And contrary to popular belief, carrots are far from the only food out there that is good for your eyes. </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify">The following foods will not only help to nourish and support your eyes as you age, but many of them can also help to reduce your risk of cataracts and macular degeneration — the world’s leading cause of blindness.<br /></div><div align="justify"><strong>1. Egg Yolks</strong> </div><div align="justify"><br />Egg yolks are the best source of lutein, a yellow-hued antioxidant. One of lutein’s most talked about qualities is its ability to protect against cataracts and macular degeneration. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>Lutein</strong> (along with zeaxanthin, another carotenoid) forms the yellow pigment of your retina and absorbs blue light, a harmful component of sunlight, says Dr. Andrew Weil, M.D. Researchers also suspect that lutein’s antioxidant actions help to protect your eyes from light-induced oxidative damage. Lutein is also found in vegetables, especially green leafy ones, but when 10 volunteers ate different sources of lutein (spinach, eggs or one of two types of lutein supplements) eggs came out on top. Those who ate eggs as their lutein source had blood levels of lutein that were about three times higher than that of those who ate other lutein sources. The researchers suspect that other components in the egg yolk, such as lecithin, are responsible for its superior absorbability. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>2. Brazil Nuts</strong> </div><div align="justify"><br />One Brazil nut contains 120 mcg of selenium, which is about twice the Recommended Daily Allowance. Why is this a good thing? Because selenium’s antioxidant activity fights free radicals that may damage your eye’s lens and macula at the center of your retina. This may help prevent cataracts and macular degeneration. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>3. Blueberries (and Other Berries)</strong><br /><br />Blueberries contain anthocyanins, potent antioxidants that give fruits their red and purple color. Because of this, blueberries can help to prevent age-related damage and improve blood flow to your eyes. Anthocyanins also strengthen blood vessel walls, which can slow the development of diabetic retinopathy. The blueberry is quite possibly the healthiest fruit there is — it ranked number one in antioxidant capacity by researchers at the USDA Human Nutrition Center when compared to 40 other fresh fruits and vegetables. Aside from blueberries, cherries, red grape, pomegranates, red cabbage, and beets also contain high levels of anthocyanins. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>4. Salmon</strong> </div><div align="justify"><br />Salmon and other oily fish like sardines, herring, and black cod are rich in omega-3 fats. A study from Harvard Medical School found that people who eat fish twice a week while avoiding unhealthy fats like trans fats have less than half the risk of developing macular degeneration as people who do neither. Meanwhile, omega-3 fats help protect light-sensing cells and are linked to a lower risk of cataracts. </div><div align="justify"><br />When eating fish, be careful to choose wild, low-mercury varieties. As an alternative, you can take a high-quality, animal-based omega-3 supplement, such as fish oil. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>5. Papaya</strong> </div><div align="justify"><br />One serving of papaya will give you close to a three-day supply of vitamin C, which is one reason why papaya has been found to protect against macular degeneration. According to a 2001 study by the National Institutes of Health, people with macular degeneration could slow the disease by getting 500 mg of vitamin C, 400 IU of vitamin E, and 80 mg of zinc every day. </div><div align="justify"><br /><strong>6. Broccoli</strong> </div><div align="justify"><br />Broccoli contains sulforaphane, a cancer-fighting compound that’s also a powerful antioxidant.
